New Trailer for Starlight Express - Live On Stage Drops

The engines are ready to race onto the big screen!

The trailer for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express – Live on Stage has been released, offering fans a first look at the filmed version of the show's triumphant London revival.

This spectacular production arrives in cinemas internationally from 26 November, for a limited time only.

Captured at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre during the 2024 production, the film brings the full thrill of the auditorium to cinema audiences around the world.

It was directed for the screen by Brett Sullivan (Hadestown) and is released by Trafalgar Releasing.

When a child's train set magically comes to life, the engines compete to become the fastest in the world. Rusty the Steam Train has little hope of winning, until he is inspired by the legend of the Starlight Express.

Directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet), the revival has been a runaway success since opening in June 2024, winning an Olivier Award and a record-breaking seven WhatsOnStage Awards. It is now the longest-running London revival of one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals in 20 years.

Alongside beloved songs including AC/DC, Light at the End of the Tunnel and the iconic title track, the production features Hydrogen, a brand-new song written by Andrew and original lyricist Richard Stilgoe.

Jeevan Braich stars as Rusty, alongside Jade Marvin as Momma McCoy, Olivia Ringrose as Greaseball, Asher Forth as Electra, Sophie Naglik as Pearl, Georgia Pemberton as Dinah and Jaydon Vijn as Hydra.
