Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita started life as a rock opera album, which went gold. The stage production opened on June 21, 1978 in London.

Evita premiered on Broadway in 1979, where it won seven Tony Awards. In 1981, the cast recording was awarded a Grammy.

A major 1996 film adaptation, starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, was nominated for five Academy Awards, winning for Best Original Song “You Must Love Me”. It won 3 Golden Globes.

A revival of Evita is currently playing at The London Palladium, directed by Jamie Lloyd and starring Rachel Zegler.

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar started life as a concept album, released in 1970, which stormed the charts. The success of the album led to a globally significant production, which, to date, has played to over 9 million people across 55 countries.

The iconic and much-loved album has been streamed more than 250 million times. Jesus Christ Superstar continues to play all over the world, most recently in the UK, Australia, and the US. It recently played a 3-night sell out concert at the Hollywood Bowl starring Cynthia Erivo.
