Tell us about your LWE journey

I began working at RUG in 2011 when I was brought in to work on the orchestrations of a new version of Starlight Express. Since then, I have taken over as 'Director of Music' and have worked with Andrew on the development of 'Stephen Ward', 'School of Rock', 'Unmasked', 'Cinderella' and most recently, 'The Illusionist'.

What has been your proudest moment at LWE?

I was incredibly proud to work with Andrew on his anthem that he wrote for the coronation of King Charles III. His Majesty had asked to hear the anthem in advance. However, because we had to be extremely discreet with the music at that point, we had to demo the singing using only people in the office.  This was the version that was sent to him. Fortunately, we had a strong soprano section led primarily by the legal department!

What are you most excited about in the coming year at work?

I am most excited about a new immersive version of 'The Phantom of the Opera' that we are developing in New York.  It's a fantastic privilege and challenge to work on such a beloved show with the opportunity to present it to new audiences in a completely new and unique way.
