Madeleine is a business woman and former international equestrian whose career has moved from sport to the arts, defined by entrepreneurial flair and leadership.

Madeleine began her professional life as an international three day eventer, representing Team GB at European and World Championships. She is co-founder of British Eventing Support Trust that supports those in the sport affected by physical or mental injury. She is the founder of Watership Down and Kiltinan Castle studs. Amongst others, they bred the exceptional and internationally sought after stallion, Too Darn Hot.

For the past two decades Madeleine has played a central role in the Lloyd Webber family’s businesses. As Vice Chairman of RUG and LW Theatres, Madeleine led the restoration of the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane, an award-winning project, which was the largest ever undertaken by private theatre owners. Along with Chairman, David Chance, Madeleine has also overseen the reorganisation of the new LW Entertainment, shaping the future of one of the UK’s most iconic entertainment brands.

Madeleine now serves as Group President of LW Theatres and LW Entertainment.

Madeleine Lloyd Webber is a trustee of Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, founded to support the arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit. Since 1992, the Foundation has provided hundreds of scholarships to drama students and paid out over £23million in grants for arts organisations across the UK. Madeleine is a founding trustee of the Music in Secondary Schools Trust, a key beneficiary of the Foundation’s support, which offers every child in participating schools free musical tuition and instruments. To date, hundreds of thousands of children in the UK have benefited from the MiSST programme, whose impact spreads far beyond musical abilities into educational, societal and health benefits.
